2023 CX-50 Begins Production in USA

Mazda Returns to US Manufacturing

Mazda returns to the USA for the production of their 2023 CX-50. Returning after a 10-year hiatus, the new production plant is the result of a joint venture between Mazda and Toyota, and is aptly named the “Mazda Toyota Manufacturing” Plant or “MTM”. The new plant is located in Huntsville, Alabama, and will solely be responsible for producing Mazda SUVs for the North American market. MTM will employ up to 4,000 workers and is expected to produce 300,000 vehicles every year.
