Fun Crafts And Activities You Can Do At Home With Your Kids

As we’re all spending more time at home recently, it can be challenging to come up with fun activities to keep your kids entertained, engaged, and occupied. Try these fun crafts and activities with your kids in this season.

Cardboard House

If you have a growing pile of cardboard boxes from all of the online shopping you’ve been doing recently, use them to make a cardboard house. You can use colored paper to add accents to the roof and sides, and scissors to cut out windows and doors!

Marshmallow Monsters

This fun, cheap, and easy idea will keep your kids entertained for awhile. All you need is marshmallows, eyeball sprinkles, shredded coconut, food coloring, small candies, and a few toothpicks. Bonus: once all of the monsters are made your kids can eat them and double the fun!

Dinosaur Eggs

Using a little bit of food coloring, you can dye the shells and interiors of hardboiled eggs. The kids will have fun peeling away the egg layers to see a colorful egg inside.

Straw Necklaces

Chances are you already have everything you need for this simple kid-friendly craft. Cut up a bunch of straws into different lengths, and help you kids string them onto twine or whatever string you have on hand. When they’re finished, they can wear them around the house and add them to their dress-up/play clothes collection!

Marshmallow Building

Another edible marshmallow activity, you can set the kids up with big and mini marshmallows and toothpicks, then let their imaginations run wild with all kinds of marshmallow buildings and structures.

Color Block Crayons

If you have a pile of broken crayons lying around the house, why not melt them together to create color block crayons? You’ll melt crayons of similar colors together, then fill silicone ice trays with two or more colors and freeze them to create all-new crayons for your little artists to use.
